Kinu is always a pleasure to visit, be it for a quick lunch or a long dinner with friends and family . The food is delicious and the cocktails are wonderful, the vibes are great, and the staff is all fabulous. It’s a perfect addition to Victoria and stands out despite the many great spots in town. I went here on a rainy Victoria Saturday. The weather outside was frightful, but Kinu was delightful. The hostess that helped us was wonderful, she had a happy go lucky vibe and made an effort to make conversation with us about both the restaurant and ourselves. She was so nice and made amazing recommendations of the whipped goat cheese pomegranate dip and the green cashew butter chicken. Both were sublime. Like fireworks in your mouth. The portions were generous and the music was good. Food that makes you dance in your seat.

One of my favourite restaurants in Victoria. Kinu hits the mark on every level from elevated, flavourful dishes, stunning atmosphere/vibe and amazing service that makes you feel right at home. Definitely a hidden gem. If you haven’t been it’s a must try.

We stumbled upon Kinu thru online reviews, and although it wasn’t near where we were staying in Victoria, we wanted to make sure we gave it a try. Wow, what a hidden gem! The food was so tastey! And quick! The whipped goat cheese was phenomenal and the white butter chicken was delicious too. Our server was attentive, friendly and helpful. She even brought a piece of cake as a special birthday treat for me. I’d recommend this place to anyone in the area. It’s a must-try!

Kinu is such a beautiful and welcoming space - a must-visit! I had the honor of hosting a charity event here with the owner Kirn to support women and children through programs across rural India, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The Indian-inspired global tapas served cocktail-style were a huge hit and everyone loved the menu and the space. The vibe was warm, elegant, and so well-suited for private events. I’m already looking forward to hosting the next one!

Each plate, from the Fish Tacos to the beautiful Biryani, is beautifully presented and packed with bold, creative flavors. The service is very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. As you can see from the video they explain to you everything you need to know, taking service to the next step! Whether you’re stopping by for craft cocktails ( or their beautiful zero-proof cocktails) or sharing dishes with loved ones, Kinu feels rooted in heart, skill, and hospitality. A must visit gem, I can’t wait to come back!

Kirn and her team are outstanding. Shout out to Kendall and Tyler. All the staff were welcoming and attentive. They were able to describe each dish in detail including the stories of them and the flavours they have. The attention to detail shines through the delicious Indian/ globally inspired cuisine. We tried many dishes but definitely left wanting more. Looking forward to our next visit. Lastly the Mango lassi was delicious.

My family really enjoyed our first time at Kinu. We had two waiters who were very attentive and made some great food recommendations which they staggered throughout the night. We had some very tasty cocktails which paired great with the dishes. The ambiance was good and decor was neat, except I would have expected it to be busier on a Saturday night but maybe that’s because it’s fairly new and not many people know about this hidden gem. I would recommend the cauliflower, gnocchi and naan. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of their main dishes (rice or curries) either.
